The Iranian ICT Guild organization (IIG), was formed in June 2005 with the primary objective of being catalyst for the growth of the ICT industry in Iran. IIG has more than 17000 members across the country comprising of private companies, computer stores and consultants.
IIG is a non-governmental, not for profit organization and is financed mainly by its 4000 member's annual payments.
IIG maintains an information database of its members and organizes conferences, seminars, workshops and exhibitions in Iran.
IIG is trying to develop the means to help Iranian ICT companies to promote their standard level of product and service development.
As an umbrella organization, it regulates Iran’s ICT market of thousands of IT professionals, software developer companies, hardware manufacturers, distributors and retailers. IIG also manages the interrelationship of the ICT private sector and the government, aim to protect its members and promote their rights through negotiations with public policy makers.
